Daniel Swarovski was born into a glass cutter family in North Bohemia, now the CzechRepublic. In 1892 he invented a machine that revolutionized the process of crystal cutting and in 1895 he started his company known world wide as Swarovski Crystal. The rest in history and the whole world knows that Swarovski is simply the finest crystal you can find.
